Following the Catalan derby win, young star Lamine Yamal has sent a strong message to their cross-town rivals, Espanyol.
He posted game photos on Instagram, following the 4-1 defeat of Espanyol saying, "They have to swallow the defeat...as usual".
Then he added, “Barcelona (the city) in blue and red.”
Yamal and Pedri played the full 90 minutes of the game, not getting any rest, just 72 hours before the second-leg of the Champions league's quarter final against Athletico Madrid.
Yamal, during the game provided two decisive assists to Feran Torres, helping the Catalan side take a 2-0 lead, and then scored his goal in the 87th minute to make the score 3-1 after Espanyol's Lozano had netted a goal in the 56th minute. Rashford then scored a 4th goal in the 89th minute to take the score to 4-1, ending the game.
